As many of you know, the government has decided to impose trade tariffs on foreign steel and aluminum products. Originally the tariff was to start on March 23rd with 25% steel and 10% aluminum tariffs. However, as the days progress, decisions change, and allies are deemed exempt, it is uncertain to pinpoint when these tariffs are set to start for sure, until the day has arrived and actions are set in motion.
Until then, mills have still been affected with this news and have already had to increase prices in some situations. This unfortunately is unavoidable.
Due to these tariffs our manufacturers prices for metal will be increasing 10% - 25% starting April 9th. Due to these increases, our metal prices will also be increasing around this time.
Composition shingles prices are also increasing. Malarkey Roofing Product’s increase passed on March 19th. Other manufacturers increases will happen in the near future. You will see these increases, on our pricing, reflective in the coming months.
If you have any questions at all, please reach out to your local sales representative.
We thank you for your support during these challenging times and will continue to work on behalf of you all, our very valued customers.
